CHICKEN PAPRIKASH 
1 (7 lb.) stewing chicken
1 onion, minced
1/4 green pepper, chopped
1/4 c. chopped parsley
2 sticks celery, chopped
5 tbsp. flour
1 pt. half and half
1 tbsp. salt
Dash black pepper
1 c. water
1 tsp. sweet paprika

Put 4 tablespoons butter into large stewing pot. Add onion and green pepper, brown lightly. Add cleaned, cut up chicken, salt and pepper. Brown on both sides quickly, watching and stirring constantly. Add water. Cover pot and stew for 1 1/2 hours stirring occasionally, adding water as it evaporates.
