CHICKEN ALA ORANGE 
1 frying chicken, about 3 lbs, cut up
1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. cooking oil
1 c. fresh orange juice
1/2 c. chili sauce
1/4 c. green peppers, chopped
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/2 to 1 tsp. garlic salt
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. molasses
3 med. oranges, peeled and sliced (cartwheels)

Wash and dry chicken pieces and season with salt and pepper. Dredge with flour. Heat shortening in skillet, add chicken and brown lightly on all sides. Put chicken in 3-quart casserole. Drain fat.

To skillet, add remaining ingredients except oranges. Simmer 2 or 3 minutes. Pour sauce over chicken in casserole. Cover and bake in 350 degree oven for 50 to 60 minutes or until chicken is tender.

Just before serving, add orange slices. Makes 4 servings. The sauce is great served over noodles.
