BJORNKAKA (BEAR BREAD) | |
2 eggs 2 c. flour 1 1/2 c. sugar 1 c. milk 1/5 lb. butter, melted 2 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tsp. cardamom Beat the eggs and sugar until well blended. Beat in the shortening. Add dry ingredients and milk and beat until smooth. Bake in 2 well greased bread loaf pans at 300 degrees for 1 hour or more until toothpick comes out dry. Cool on racks. Loosen sides and invert. Freezes well and is better if kept a day before serving. |
