BRAISED BEEF AND VEGETABLES 
1 1/2 - 2 lbs. stew meat (in lg. pieces)
8 oz. bottle Catalina French dressing
4 or 5 potatoes, peeled (leave whole)
6 carrots, peeled and cut in half
4 whole onions, peeled
1/2 lb. fresh green beans
Fresh ground pepper
Garlic cloves

Place stew meat in large 8 quart pan. Leave pieces large. Add dressing plus 8 oz. of water, fresh ground pepper and 1 or 2 garlic cloves. Turn heat to low and simmer, covered for approximately 2 to 3 hours or until almost tender. (Watch carefully, this mixture can boil over if heat is too high.)

Add potatoes, carrots and onions and continue to cook until vegetables are tender approximately one hour. Then add green beans and let them cook for about 15 minutes. Serves 3-4.

Note: Reduced calorie dressing may be substituted.
