BRAISED BEEF TIPS | |
5 lb. lean stew meat, cut into sm. pieces 1 sm. can tomato paste 1 sm. can mushrooms 1 c. diced onions Salt, pepper, garlic powder and camino Cut meat, sprinkle with salt, pepper and spices. Add diced onion and mushrooms and pour into a large baking pan. Barely cover with water. Lay a sheet of waxed paper on top of meat (inside pan; do not over lap edges of pan) cook until meat is done at 375 to 400 degrees. Thicken with flour and water; leave it pretty thin; it will thicken as it cooks. Add tomato paste and cook for 10 to 15 minutes longer. If sauce becomes too thick, thin it with tomato juice and water. |
