LINGUINI WITH NO COOK WALNUT
SAUCE
 
1/4 c. olive oil
1 lg. garlic clove, peeled (garlic lovers, use more!)
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. diced basil leaves
1 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese (4 oz.)
1/2 c. warm water
1/2 c. broken walnuts
3/4-1 lb. uncooked linguini

Place oil, garlic, pepper and basil in blender; cover and blend 3 seconds at low speed, until garlic is crushed. Add cheese and 1/4 cup of the water and blend again until fairly smooth. Add nuts and remaining 1/4 cup water and blend until thick and smooth (adjust consistency by adding more oil). Makes about 1 cup sauce. Serve over hot, cooked linguini. 4 servings.
