AUNT JANIE'S POUND CAKE 
3 c. plain flour
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. Crisco
2 sticks butter
5 lg. eggs
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 1/2 tbsp. vanilla

Cream softened butter, Crisco and sugar. Add 1/2 cup of milk. Blend well with mixer. Add sifted flour and dry ingredients with eggs. Add the other 1/2 cup milk and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Grease and flour tube pan. Add mixture. Bake at 325 degrees approximately 1 1/2 hours or until done.

CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 stick softened butter
1 tbsp. vanilla
1/2 - 3/4 box confectioners' sugar

Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add confectioners' sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread on cake after the cake is completely cooled.
