AUNT JENNIE'S POUND CAKE 
2 sticks butter (cream well)
2 c. sugar (add 1/4 c. at a time & cream well)
5 eggs (add 1 at a time, beating well)
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. cake flour (add 1/4 c. at a time, mix well)

Grease and flour cake pan. Bake 1 hour with pan under the cake pan to keep from burning. Bake at 300-325 degrees. Start in a cold oven.
