HAMBURGER SOUP 
1 lb. hamburger
1 lg. onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
3 carrots, chopped
3 cubed potatoes
1 can stewed tomatoes
2 cans chicken broth
2 cans consomme
2 c. water

Cook and crumble hamburger with diced onion/set aside saute vegetables in 3 tablespoons butter until just partially cooked. Add vegetables to meat with consomme, broth, water and tomatoes. Season with 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon pepper, 1 bay leaf, 1 teaspoon sugar. Cook on simmer for 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Freezes well.
