CHINESE RIBS 
2 lbs. spare ribs
1/2 c. soy sauce
3 tbsp. ketchup
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
2 tbsp. honey

Combine soy sauce, ketchup, sherry, brown sugar, ginger, and garlic powder in pan large enough to hold ribs. In a separate cup, combine honey with 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Marinate and set aside. Coat spareribs with soy sauce marinade; marinate for at least 1 hour, turning occasionally. Place ribs on a broiler pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 to 1 1/2 hours, brushing frequently with marinade. During the last 5 minutes, brush ribs with the honey mixture. Serve hot. 6 to 8 servings.
