OATMEAL CAKE 
1 c. Minute oats
1 1/2 c. boiling water

Mix together and let stand for 10 minutes.

1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. baking soda
2 beaten eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/2 c. flour

Cream sugar and shortening; add beaten eggs and beat well. Sift dry ingredients together and add with oats. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 minutes.

OATMEAL CAKE FROSTING:

1 cube butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cream
1 c. nuts
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter, sugar and cream. Add rest of ingredients and put on cake. Broil.
