APPLE CINNAMON ROLLS 
2 c. water
1 c. sugar
3 med. tart apples
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
3/4 c. milk

Cinnamon

Boil water and sugar. Set aside. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, shortening and milk to consistency of biscuit dough. Roll out 1/4 inch thick. Pare apples and slice thin. Place these on dough and then sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll up as jelly roll.

Slice into 1/2 inch thick pieces and place in a buttered 9 inch baking pan. Pour boiling water and sugar. Roll up as jelly roll. Slice into 1/2 inch thick pieces and place in a buttered 9 inch baking pan. Pour boiling water and sugar over rolls and dot each roll with square of butter. Bake in 400 degree oven until brown. Approximately 12 rolls.
