53 oz. (lg. can) pork and beans 6 oz. dark brown sugar 5 oz. Heinz ketchup 4-5 strips bacon Drain pork and beans. Discard pork that comes in can. Place sugar nd ketchup in 4 quart casserole. Mix. Spread on top (do not mix with sugar-ketchup mixture). Cover with bacon, put top on casserole. Place in 350 degree oven for 45-50 minutes until liquid is bubbling good. Remove to crisp bacon or place under broiler. DELUXE FRANK AND BEANS: Use above with one package of franks cut into 1 inch long pieces. Mix with bean and lay on top of sugar-ketchup layer. Cover with bacon. |
