BANANA LOAF 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 mashed ripe bananas
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Cream butter and sugar together until smooth. Add eggs to creamed mixture. Add flour and baking soda to butter and egg mixture. Stir to blend well. Add bananas and nuts, combine well. Pour mixture in a greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the loaf comes out clean. Remove from pan and allow to cool before slicing. Serves 6 to 8.
