BANANA LOAF 
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2 eggs, well beaten
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1/2 c. walnuts, chopped (optional)

Cream butter and sugar together until smooth. Add eggs to creamed mixture. Add flour and baking soda to butter and egg mixture. Blend well. Add bananas and nuts. Combine well. Pour mixture in a greased 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
