BREAK AWAY BREAD | |
2 pkgs. dry yeast 1 c. lukewarm water 1 c. boiling water 1 c. shortening 3/4 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. salt 2 beaten eggs 6 c. flour 1 stick melted butter Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. In large bowl pour boiling water over shortening. Add sugar, salt, eggs, yeast and flour - mix well and refrigerate overnight. Next day roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick. Cut biscuits and dip in butter and stack in greased bundt pan. Let rise 2-3 hours. Bake 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Pull apart to serve. |
