APPLE COBBLER ROLL 
1 can apple pie filling, chopped in sm. pieces
1 stick butter
2 c. sugar (mix in 2 tsp. cinnamon)
1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. Crisco
1/2 c. sweet milk
1/2 c. pecans, if desired
1 1/2 c. water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in 9 x 13 inch dish. Add sugar mixture and spread evenly. Mix flour and Crisco; blend well. Add milk. Turn dough on floured surface. Roll to 1/4 inch in a rectangular shape approximately 10 x 14 inch.

Spread chopped pie filling over entire surface, leaving 1/2 inch on ends. Roll up (this will be messy) and slice into rolls. Place carefully in baking dish with pieces touching. Sprinkle nuts if desired. Pour 1 1/2 cups of water over entire mixture carefully. Bake for 1 hour or until browned.
