FIRE HOUSE SLAW 
Cabbage head
2 tbsp. celery seed
Salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1 pt. mayonnaise
4 tbsp. cider vinegar
6-8 tbsp. sugar

Shred 1 (3/4 lb.) cabbage. Add celery seed and salt and pepper to taste. In small bowl measure prepared mustard; slowly blend in mayonnaise. Into an empty jar measure cider vinegar and sugar; close top and shake vigorously; then add to mayonnaise-mustard mixture and stir again to blend well. Pour mixture over shredded cabbage and stir to mix. Chill until ready to serve. Shredded carrots can be added to slaw for color.
