2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 c. flour
5 c. oatmeal, blended to powder
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
24 oz. chocolate chips
1 (8 oz.) Hershey bar, grated
3 c. chopped nuts (we leave these out)

Cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla. Beat well. (Put small amounts of oatmeal at a time in blender until it turns to flour.) Mix together all dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture and blend thoroughly. Spoon dough in golf ball size on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 6 to 10 minutes.

Makes 112 cookies. Cookies are still soft when they come from the oven.
