ONE MILLION DOLLAR POUND CAKE | |
1 lb. butter 6 eggs, whole (6 egg whites or equivalent egg substitute) 2 c. sugar 4 c. flour 3/4 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. almond extract Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs or egg substitute, one egg at a time or egg substitute gradually, beat well after each addition. Alternately add flour and milk. Beat well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and almond extract. Bake in 300 degree oven in a large bundt pan well greased and floured or in several large loaf pans for 1 hour and 40 minutes. Cool 10 minutes and turn out. Recipe shows changes for low cholesterol in parenthesis. |
