AUNT LUCY'S NUT ROLL DOUGH 
8 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 eggs
1/2 c. shortening
1 lg. cake yeast
1 pt. warm milk

Combine flour, sugar and salt in large bowl. Cut in shortening. Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Add to dry ingredients along with eggs. Mix well and knead until dough is smooth. Let raise until doubled. Roll out on floured board and spread with nut, apricot or poppy seed filling. Roll up, place on cookie sheets sprayed with Pam. Prick several times with fork and let raise about 30 minutes. Make sure seam is on bottom. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown. Makes 8 to 10 rolls.
