ORIENTAL MEATBALLS 
1 lb. ground lean hamburger or veal
1 sm. onion, grated
1 egg
1 tsp. dry mustard
Pinch of Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste

SAUCE:

1/2 c. tomato juice (I use more)
1/4 c. soy sauce (I use less)
1 packet artificial sweetener

Mix together first 6 ingredients and form into small meatballs. Pour sauce ingredients into saucepan. Add meatballs when sauce is boiling. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Refrigerate to cool. Skim off fat. Reheat to serve.

Sometimes I add chopped pepper or celery, or both. You also can add about 1/8 cup oatmeal.
