MOTHER'S SWEET POTATOES WITH
CRUNCHY TOPPING
 
1 can sweet potatoes
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 to 1/3 stick butter
1/4 c. evaporated milk
1 tsp. butter flavoring
1 tsp. pure sherry flavoring
1 egg, slightly beaten

Melt butter; drain potatoes and mix all ingredients. Place in casserole dish.

TOPPING:

1 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. plain flour
1/3 stick butter, melted
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix flour, sugar and butter. Add nuts. Pour over potatoes and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
