GRANDMA'S KOSHER DILL PICKLES 
3 qts. water
1 qt. vinegar
3/4 c. salt (scant)

Bring to boil and keep boiling.

Sterilize fruit jars and to each jar: 1/8 tsp. alum 2 lg. cloves garlic Dill

Add vinegar mixture to jars and seal tightly. Cool and store.
