MARIE'S STUFFED PEPPERS 
4 bell peppers, halved
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg, beaten
1 lg. onion, chopped
3/4 c. Minute Rice, uncooked
1 c. tomato juice
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder

Mix ground beef and egg. Add onion, rice, salt and pepper. Add tomato juice and mix well. Fill each pepper half with this mixture and shape into mounds. Place in baking dish (with 1/2 cup water) and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour.

After baking for 15 to 20 minutes, remove the peppers from the oven and add dressing made of: 1/2 cup tomato catsup, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and 1 teaspoon mustard. Spread dressing on top of peppers and return to oven to finish cooking.
