PARTY PEAR PRESERVES 
3 qt. pears
4 c. sugar
2 c. water
1 c. light corn syrup
1 tbsp. lemon juice

Peel and slice pears as desired. Add just enough water to keep from scorching (2 cups). Add remaining ingredients and cook until juice is of desired consistency. Put into jars and seal with paraffin.
