GRANNY WILLIAM'S PEAR PRESERVES 
2 bowls pear, cut in quarters, use any size bowl
1 c. sugar

Mix and star on low heat. Add NO water. Stir until sugar dissolves. Cook to a light clear golden color. Let stand overnight. Then, finish by cooking to a darker color and the syrup to little bubbles. Put in jars and seal.
