PEAR PRESERVES 
1 dishpan of peeled pears
8 lbs. of sugar
3 lemons, sliced

Halved dishpan of peeled pears. Cover with sugar. Add three lemons, sliced thin. Boil until pears have a clear look and juice will flake from spoon. Fill jars and seal.
