APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 can biscuits (I use Pillsbury, 10 in a can)
1 lg. cooking apple, peeled, cored & sliced
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. water
1/4 c. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Roll each biscuit into a 5 1/2" circle and cut circle in half. Place one apple slice on each half and bring ends of dough to center and fold/seal tightly. Continue with remaining 9 biscuits and you will have 20 dumplings. Place dumplings in baking dish.

Combine sugar, water, butter, flavoring and cinnamon in saucepan over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil. Pour syrup over dumplings and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until golden. Baste frequently with syrup while baking.
