BREAD PUDDING | |
1/2 block butter 1 c. sugar 4 eggs, separated 1 qt. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 10 slices French bread in 1 inch slices 1 can crushed pineapple 1/2 c. raisins (opt.) Cream butter, sugar and egg yolks; stir in vanilla and milk. Break bread into bite-sized pieces into large baking dish. Spread pineapple and raisins over bread. Pour milk mixture over all. Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and cover with beaten egg whites; return to oven to brown meringue. |
