MAKE AHEAD LAYERED SALAD | |
1 head lettuce (lg.) 1 c. celery 4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced 1/2-1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas 1-2 green peppers, chopped 1 med. onion, chopped 8 slices cooked bacon, crumbled 4 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese 2 c. mayonnaise 2 tbsp. sugar In large serving bowl, layer first 8 ingredients. Spread mayonnaise over top layer, completely covering it. Sprinkle sugar on top of mayonnaise. Cover and refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve, simply toss well. Always gets excellent reviews!! Serves 8 and more. |
