APPLE PIZZA | |
1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour 1/3 c. brown sugar 3/4 c. rolled oats 3/4 c. butter Mix flour, brown sugar and oats. Cut in butter. Add one beaten egg yolk with 1 teaspoon vanilla to above mixture. Press mixture into bottom of pan (pizza pan or 13"x9" pan). Bake at 300 degrees for 15 minutes (moist) or 20 minutes (dry). Increase oven temperature to 350 degrees. TOPPING: 16 oz. shredded sharp cheddar 1/2 c. raisins 3 med. apples, thinly sliced Sprinkle cheese over crust. Top with raisins and thinly sliced apples. Combine 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1/3 cup brown sugar, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg and 1/2 cup pastry mix. Sprinkle onto crust and fruit. Bake 40 to 50 minutes. |
