HOT WATER PIE CRUST | |
1 c. very soft lard 1 tsp. salt 1/2 c. boiling water 3 c. flour Place lard and salt in bowl and beat with a spoon until lard is completely softened. Pour boiling water over lard and beat again. Let this cool to room temperature. Stir; then add flour. Form mixture into a ball. Chill for several hours or overnight (can also be frozen). Take from refrigerator and sit out at room temperature for 30 minutes before rolling out. |
