CARAMEL TOFFEE BARS | |
1 c. butter, room temperature 3/4 c. brown sugar, packed 1 egg yolk 2 c. all-purpose flour 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla extract 8 oz. sweet milk chocolate morsels 1/2 c. coconut Cream butter and sugar. Add egg yolk, beat until light. Stir in flour, salt and vanilla extract to make a moist crumbly mixture. Pat into a lightly buttered 13 x 9 inch cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Sprinkle with chocolate morsels immediately after taking out of oven (they'll melt). Then spread evenly to frost top. Top this with coconut. Cool and cut into bars. Makes 4 dozen bars. |
