DOWN SOUTH SWEET POTATOES 
4 lg. sweet potatoes
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 c. pecans, chopped
1 c. sugar
2 beaten eggs
1/2 c. dry sherry
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/3 c. cream

Boil potatoes in salted water. Peel and mash thoroughly with melted butter. Mix sugar, beaten eggs, sherry, cream and nutmeg, and add to potato mixture. Bake in uncovered, greased casserole at 350 degrees until light brown.
