MEAT AND POTATO BURGER 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. coarsely grated raw potato
1/4 c. chopped or grated onion
2 tbsp. chopped green pepper
1 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
Oil
1 c. tomato juice or puree

Mix all ingredients together, except oil, tomato juice and flour. Form into 4 or 5 flat cakes. Brown the burgers on both sides in oil in fry pan. Add tomato juice, cover and simmer slowly, until done, about 25 minutes. Remove cakes and keep hot. Mix flour with a little water and stir slowly into the liquid in the pan. Cook until thickened stirring occasionally. Serve sauce with burgers.
