WILD RICE HOTDISH 
1 c. wild rice (raw)
4 strips bacon, cut up and fried until soft
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. diced green pepper
4 oz. sliced mushrooms (canned), don't drain
1 can chicken rice soup
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. white wine (optional) or 1/2 c. water with beef or chicken bouillon cube
Salt, pepper, celery salt, and garlic salt

Prepare rice. Soak 1 cup rice overnight in at least 2 times amount cold water. Next day: Bring rice to boil in water (may add bouillon). Turn off and leave on burner approximately 20 minutes until done; rinse. Combine all of the above ingredients and bake at 350 degrees for approximately 1 hour or until thickened. Freezes well. Serves 8.
