MOCK APPLE PIE 
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 c. water
24 Hi-Ho crackers
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 stick butter
1 deep dish pie shell

Put sugar, cream of tartar and water into saucepan and bring to a boil. Drop the crackers into the mixture, but do not stir. Boil for 2 minutes, then set aside.

Sprinkle 1 teaspoon cinnamon into pie shell, then pour mixture in. Melt butter with remaining cinnamon and pour over pie. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes. Serves 6.
