I have made this recipe for years with no problem, I tried it 3 times today and it is very sticky all 3 times... anyone have any idea of what happened?

Super easy for toddlers when you just don't have enough time! :) I used baby oil gel for the oil, and it turned out so well. It smells awesome and makes your hands smooth. Lol were having a blast with it as we speak. I have to say tho, when we have more time, i'm going to try a cooked recipe for comparison, but as it is now... I LOVE this one! thanks so much!

A good basic recipe that is easy to double. If you don't have cream of tartar, you can substitute a teaspoon of alum. Or, if you have neither, you can use about a tablespoonful of vinegar, although your playdoh will smell kind of like vinegar. I also tried using sugar-free raspberry drink mix, both for the acid and the color, but it came out a real ugly color, kind of like raw beefsteak. My granddaughter still played with it, but I would have rather had a pretty color, so I won't be using that again!

I have a rough time boiling water, which coincidentally made my first batch way too runny. For the second batch I made sure the water was boiling and achieved perfection. I was looking for how much gel food coloring to put in and about four or five drops gave me decent color. Great quick recipe to make with young ones.

Great recipe, only issue I had was that I had to add more flour because ours turned out too sticky. After a little additional flour, it worked out great!

Made this recipe just like it says above and it turned into a gooey sticky mess. It did NOT work for me at all.
