MEATBALL SANDWICHES 
1 batch frozen or thawed meatballs
1 c. ketchup
3/4 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. liquid smoke (optional)
1/4 to 1/2 c. chopped onion
6 sandwich rolls, split

Place meatballs in an ungreased 1-quart baking dish. Combine the next 5 ingredients; pour over meatballs. Cover and bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Serve on rolls.

Yield: 6 servings.

NOTE: You may heat in a thick saucepan on medium to low heat instead of in the oven. This doesn't heat up the kitchen on a hot day. Just stir gently so you won't tear up the meatballs. You may also put in a slow cooker to heat while you are fishing and you would be ready to eat when you got home (if you didn't catch any fish!).

Can also be used as an appetizer: Do not use rolls and insert toothpicks in meatballs for easy pick up.
