SWEET POTATO BREAD 
2 c. all purpose flour
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sugar
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground cloves
1/3 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. milk
2 eggs
1 c. cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
2/3 c. chopped pecans

Sift together dry ingredients and spices. Make a wall in center of mixture. Set aside.

Combine oil, milk and eggs, mix well. Stir in potatoes, raisins, and pecans. Add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.

Spoon mixture into a well greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 3 in, loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Remove from pan, and cool completely.

Makes one loaf.
