PEPPERONI/CHEESE LOAF | |
1 lb. loaf frozen bread dough 1 beaten egg 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese 2 (3 1/2 oz.) pkgs. sliced pepperoni 2 c. (8 oz.) shredded Mozzarella cheese 1/2 tsp. dried oregano Thaw dough allowing it to rise according to package; divide dough and set one part aside. Turn out remaining dough on lightly floured surface. Roll dough into 10-inch circle. Combine egg and Parmesan cheese. Spread 1/2 of egg mixture over circle, leaving 1/2 inch butter at edge. Layer 1/2 of pepperoni and Mozzarella cheese over egg mixture. Sprinkle with half of oregano. Roll up dough jelly roll style. Seal edges with toothpicks and fold under ends. Transfer loaf to an ungreased baking sheet. Repeat process with remaining ingredients. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Slice to serve. |
