BAKED SWEET POTATOES | |
1 c. pineapple juice Dash cinnamon Dash nutmeg 2 sticks butter This recipe is for a large quantity, 5 pounds sweet potatoes rinsed, put in large pan and cover with water. Boil gently until skins are tender. Remove from water, cool, peel, slice into baking dish. Make syrup of 2 pound box brown sugar and the above ingredients. Boil syrup about 5 minutes, then pour over sliced potatoes in dish and bake until bubbly and browned about 20 minutes in a 350 degree oven. |
