1/2 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
8 oz. cream cheese
4 c. sliced apples
1 pkg. sliced almonds

Mix butter, sugar, vanilla, and flour. Press into a spring-form pan. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Cream the cream cheese, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 egg, and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour into crust. Arrange apples, 1/3 cup sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon on top of filling. Sprinkle sliced almonds on top. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes. Then reduce to 400 degrees and bake another 20 minutes. Makes a lovely professional looking dessert.
