APPLE FLAN CHEESECAKE 
1/3 c. butter
1/3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour

Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and flour. It will be crumbly. In 9 inch springform pan, pat dough on bottom and up sides.

FILLING:

8 oz. cream cheese
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix cheese, sugar, egg and vanilla; pour into pan over dough, spreading to the edge.

TOPPING:

1/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. peeled apples (approx. 2-3 apples) thin wedge shapes
1/4 c. slivered almonds
3/4 c. apricot preserves, heated until diluted

Mix apples, sugar and cinnamon. Layer apples in fan like shapes around the top of the filling. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake for 10 minutes at 450 degrees. Lower heat to 400 degrees and bake for 25 more minutes. Glaze with diluted apricot preserves. Refrigerate. Remove sides of pans and serve.
