EARL'S SURPRISE | |
1 1/2 c. macaroni twirls 1/2 lb. ground beef 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped 1 c. onions, chopped 1 c. celery, chopped 1/4 tsp. oregano & basil 1 tbsp. soy sauce 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 lg. clove garlic, diced 1 tsp. Lawry's garlic salt 4 slices lean bacon, diced 1 c. Cheddar cheese, diced 1 (8 oz.) tomato sauce In large skillet, lightly brown bacon. Add beef and cook until no longer pink. Add vegetables and cook until tender. Add tomato sauce and mix well, simmering a few minutes. In the meantime, cook macaroni as per instructions on package in 2 quart casserole. Layer about 1/3 macaroni, vegetables and cheese one at a time, then bake in oven at 300-325 degrees for 30 minutes or until cheese is melted. |
