2 sticks butter (softened)
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. plain flour
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)
Confectioners' sugar

Mix butter, sugar and vanilla. Add flour, then nuts. Chill about 30 minutes. Roll in crescent shapes and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. When slightly cooled roll in confectioners' sugar.
