YELLOW MEAL CRACKLING BREAD 
1/2 c. yellow corn meal
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. fat, melted
1/2 c. white corn meal
4 tsp. baking powder
1 c. milk
1 c. cracklings
1 egg

Combine corn meal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. Add milk and egg; beat until smooth. Gradually stir in fat. Turn in a 9-inch pan; bake in a moderate oven (300-350 degrees) until golden brown and bread pulls easily from the sides of pan.
