BLONDE BROWNIES 
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking power
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chocolate chips
1/3 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Mix flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Melt butter in saucepan and add sugar. Blend in eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture gradually mixing well. Spread in 13 x 9 inch pan. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool in pan.
