CHEESE POTATO SOUP 
1 med. onion, chopped
8 med. potatoes, peeled
2 c. shredded American cheese
1/2 stick butter
Salt and pepper
Milk

Saute onion in butter. Cut potatoes in bite-size pieces. Put in same pan as onions. Put enough water in to cover potatoes. Boil until potatoes are tender. Add milk to desired consistency. Salt and pepper to taste. When soup is hot, NOT BOILING, add cheese. When cheese melts, it is ready to serve.
